This section describes the process of requesting an account on CIRC computing resources.

If the machine you need access to isn’t listed below, please email for assistance.

Ganymede account

To request a Ganymede account, send an email to with the following information:

  1. Your UTD NetID

  2. Your PI

  3. Your Department

Once a CIRC team member receives this information, an access request will be put in and your account will be created in 3-5 days. Please note that once a CIRC team member puts in the access request, it goes to several UTD-OIT teams for approval and access control, so time from request to functional Ganymede account may vary. However, 3-5 days is generally the norm.

The Ganymede access request procedure also applies to the TIES and X2Go systems as they are a part of Ganymede.
