Need GPUs?

Cyberinfrastructure Research Computing (CIRC) does not currently provide free GPU access. However, CIRC can help with GPU purchasing or accessing GPU resources on regional or national systems.

Purchasing GPU hardware

CIRC maintains Ganymede, a condo model cluster for which researchers at UT Dallas can purchase dedicated hardware. CIRC is also working on deploying Ganymede2, the successor to Ganymede, which features an Open OnDemand web GUI with applications such as MATLAB, JupyterLab, and RStudio. If you are interested in purchasing hardware, including GPUs, for your research group, please contact circ-assist@utdallas.edu.

Regional and national resources

UT Dallas researchers have access to Lonestar6, a Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) resource featuring compute nodes with NVIDIA A100 GPUs. Accessing TACC resources is free for UT System researchers, but requires a short proposal for resource allocation. Please see our Lonestar6 Documentation for information on allocation proposals and deadlines.
